Task views are accessed by the six tabs at the top of the tasks interface. Each tab, when selected, has its own view where the user can perform tasks or save application settings.

The six tabs are:

• Convert: Convert data from one format to another: MusicXML, database, LilyPond, PDF.
• Validate/Compress XML: Validate a MusicXML file against the MusicXML 4.0 schema, or compress a MusicXML file to a .mxl file.
• DB Settings: Set the username, password, etc. of the database you are using with the tasks application.
• LilyPond/PDF: Set the LilyPond and PDF reader locations on your computer.
• Output: Optionally redirect task and/or SQL output to file.
• DB Actions: Create the MusicXML database schema tables and/or generate the SQL file to that's used to create the MusicXML database schema.
